London Book Fair

It’s been a busy few days.

On Thursday I popped into the London Book Fair for the first time – it’s as you’d imagine a trade show to be, with lots of stands and seminars. It was great to see Quantum Confessions on the SilverWood stand and I learnt about how to approach festivals for speaking gigs, which is something I’m interested in doing a lot more of.

On Friday I was at the Indie ReCon 2015 event at Foyles on Charing Cross Road which is of course a great venue. The Indie Author scene is an interesting one and hearing, thinking and talking about how the publishing industry is changing and how authors are increasingly in control of their own destiny was heartening and invigorating.
